Terms
Using STL File Viewer means accepting the limits described here. They are short because the tool is small: it opens a file, shows what the file contains, and can save a picture of it.
What the site does
It reads a 3D file in the browser and reports what it finds: geometry counts, the bounding box, materials and their textures, animation clips, and references that did not resolve. Inspection only — no conversion, no repair, and no export of the model itself.
Your files stay yours
No rights are taken over a model opened here. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored, so there is nothing for the site to license, copy or pass on. What happens to the file afterwards is entirely up to whoever holds it.
A successful load is not a print check
A model can open cleanly here and still fail at the machine: self-intersections, non-manifold edges, walls thinner than the nozzle, a solid modelled inside out, a scale in the wrong unit. Those are properties of the file and of the printer, and the viewer does not evaluate them. Whether a part prints belongs to the slicer and the printer, not to this page.
Units and dimensions
Dimensions appear in the unit the file declares. STL declares none, so a 20-unit cube may be 20 mm or 20 inches, and the file cannot settle which. Each format page says what its container carries. Comparing a number against the intended part is the reader’s step.
Acceptable use
Open files you have the right to open. Do not use the site to attack the host that serves it, and do not use it for content that is unlawful where you are.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for a decision taken from what is displayed — a print that failed, a model sent to a client, a part made to the wrong size.
